Rosso Piceno DOC

Rosso Piceno combines the pleasures of the freshness, flavour and delightfulness of a youthful wine with the complex structure of a fuller red. It is dedicated to those who wish to savour the bouquet of an extraordinarily light, classic red wine that evades the seriousness of fuller-bodied, barrel-aged wines.

BLEND OF GRAPES: Montepulciano 70%, Sangiovese 30%

TERRAIN: Average textured soil, tending to clay between  200 and 350 metres altitude in Castel di Lama and Offida.

VINIFICATION (Wine making process): Traditional with maceration of the skins for 10-15 days in steel silos.

REFINEMENT OF WINE: In steel silos for 4 months, then in bottles for approximately 6 months.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:  Bright ruby colour, lively, young yet intense, an aroma that evolves into a floral flavour, a full-bodied, fresh vinously creamy treat.
